Magic Shield

Magic Shield is a short and sweet 2D platformer.

You play as a knight on a perilous ascent to reach the high mountaintops. Along the way, you encounter a magical shield, which you can use to platform to places otherwise unreachable.

The game features an introductory level to get players familiar with the movement, followed by three levels utilizing the Magic Shield. The levels get more difficult as you progress in a relatively steep difficulty curve, with the final challenge requiring complete mastery of the game's simple, yet powerful mechanics. The ways in which the player is expected to utilize the shield get more complex over time, so the game also requires some creative thinking and light puzzle solving to complete.

The game was created by a solo developer in a couple of weeks. It predominantly uses Brackey's Platformer Bundle for assets, but it unfortunately doesn't contain any sound.
